I have a customer that wants one button paging. They do not like the fact that when you push the default paging button it comes up with the "Paging Groups List". They also do not want to have to hold to button down to automatically select the default group.

 

I am trying to write a Macro that would start a page and slect the default group.

 

I know I use $FPage$ to initiate a page. Is there a way to make it automatically page the default group?

 

I have ready the Macro documentation and I did not see a way of doing it

Hello dpersson,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

 

The EFK FAQ explains in detail  various examples. At the end of the day a EFK is a simulation of manual Key Presses. In order to get always the default Page Key pressed something simple as this would work:

 

softkey.1.action="$FPage$$FSelect$"

There is no softkey.feature.X to hide the "original" Page Button so your customer would have to live with this or follow this FAQ and create enough interest:
