POLYCOM VVX 301 have to dial a number very quickly

When dialling numbers on the POLYCOM VVX 301 desktop phone, by pressing all the digits of the telephone number on the phone’s keypad required rather than retrieving a number from an address book, we have to dial the numbers quickly otherwise the phone cuts off and doesn’t dial the full number.  So if for example you dial 01723 (and then pause for a very short while) the rest of the number is ignored.  You have to dial 01723123456 all in one continuous fast stream of presses, and you cannot pause even for one moment.

If I don’t input the full telephone Number quite quickly I get a message saying “sorry your call cannot be completed” and I have to start again.

How do we adjust the desktop telephone so that it allows us to briefly pause in between key presses when dialling numbers?

This doe snot happen on other brands of phone.

Hello @Paul_H

Welcome to the Poly Community. This ended up in the Spam filter so it had to be released.

A new post should usually contain enough information so the volunteers in the community can have an idea of what to suggest. This is outlined in the ReadMeFirst and the FAQ.

We have no idea how your phone is programmed or what software is being used.

I suggest you provide some details and/or check here:

Alternatively, work with whoever set up your phones.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
