Hi All... hoping someone can help me out. We have a VoIP system setup with the VVX 500 phones and are having major print issues with a Sharp MX-M232D printer. We run our computers off of the LAN port on the phones and have the printer connected to our switch which is plugged into the POE switch for our VoIP system. The issues encountered are servere delays in printing and totally lost print jobs. These problems disappear when we do not run our computers from the LAN port on the VVX 500 phones. The printer is set up with a static IP address. Is there a setting in the phone that is potentially the problem here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Andy
Hello Andy,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Just a stab in the dark but maybe have a look at the Storm Filtering settings within the Ethernet Menu. It could also be a PC port speed mismatch.
For more details please refer to the UCS Admin Guide.

----------------Thanks for the link Steffen. The port speed is set to Auto.
Hello AMiske,
how about the Storm Filter?
Have you played with the settings of this or changed maybe the Auto Setting for the PC speed to match the Speed of the printer ?
If you do not get any further with this I suggest you contact your Polycom reseller as this would need to be troubleshoot and is outside the scope of the Polycom community.

----------------Steffen... the Storm Filter is enabled. I'm not sure what it exactly does. I have changed the port speed and will see if that helps. My reseller claims it is nothing with the phone. :(
Hi Steffen... I changed the PC port speed to match the printer and that helps but now my computer is extremely slow because of having to downgrade my speed from 1000 to 100.
Hello AMiske,
I miss-read the original post and assumed the Printer is connected to the Phone.
I this case the PC Speed would not matter and I would attempt to disable the Storm filtering.
The next step for yourself is to log a ticket with Polycom support via your Polycom reseller.
