is it possible when placing a call on hold to have live music stream from a off-site server, if yes how and what are the requirements for that server.

Thanks

Hello ykvo,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Phone supports either voIpProt.SIP.musicOnHold.uri or reg.x.musicOnHold.uri Parameter to specify an MoH Source.

It would then send a SIP Invite to that Source.

The above parameter requires a SIP URI as a destination.

Example:

reg.1.musicOnHold.uri="sip:moh@mohexample.com:5120"

Above should send the Invite to Port 5120 on above address.

In a normal supported scenario the Phone would receive the MoH from the SIP Server so you may need to wait for other community members to post their specific examples to help you with this.
