Need to map different keys during differing call states

Firmware 5.9.4.3247

VVX250 and VVX450 (Assume both will map the same)

I have the idle screen completed, but in dialtone and active state I am not able to map the keys as desired.  Below is an image of request.  It seems when I use insert and or precede it leaves a key open in idle and maps differently in dialtone.  AM I missing something?

Hello @John.Lorenz8x8 ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

Please be aware that this community is run by volunteers and it may be much easier to work with a Poly sales engineer considering our two companies work together.

It also may require a certain software version in order to support certain call states. The EFK FAQ has some examples and details:

Nov 25, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of a softkey button/use EFK?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Much appreciate the link, been through examples, read up on everything I can, however the issue remains I cannot get the mapping as requested.  Kind of skunked on this for the moment.

Hello @John.Lorenz8x8 ,

Most likely a sales engineer could raise a feature request and change this to your needs based on the business oppertunity.

Hi Steffen

Is this function not available?  the FAQ and admin states

  • up to 10 Softkeys per call state
  • up to 50 EFK Lists

Is it not possible to relocate the same key in differing call states?

As example:

  • Directory - Call State Idle = location page 1 key 3
  • Directory - Call State dialtone = location page 2 key 1
  •

Hello @John.Lorenz8x8 ,

I tried my best with the FAQ to document what you can do and what not. Anything outside other community members may reply. If all fails open a support ticket with our official support organisation or work with a Sales Engineer that looks after your account.

Best Regards
