The agreement for UC Firmware 5.4.3.1014 says:

You may not install, access, or use unauthorized software, additional licenses can be purchased from the company in which you bought your device. You may operate devices against a Lync or Skype for Business server for trial purposes for up to 30 days without purchasing a license Polycom reserves the right to audit your deployment to verify that you have sufficient licenses to match the number of devices being used.

1) In English, am I allowed to use this firmware for SIP environments that don't involve using it with Lync or Skype for Business? Normally firmware that is designed for Lync says "lync only" in the phone's webserver.
2) If I'm not supposes to use this firmware in a non-Lync invironment, then what is the newest firmware for the VVX 300 that I should be using?

----------------Thank you, the scary disclaimer page left it vague and I'm not a lawyer so I figured I'd ask rather than try to interpret the legalese :)
