Hello. I'am new to this forum and VoIP in general. I have problem with VVX500 on Jive PBX. My software version is SIP v4.0.1.15031.

So when when i receive outbound call my phone show "FROM: UNAVAILABLE" and coller's phone number eg 123-456-7890. So i added this naumber to Contact directory with proper names and label, lets say "John Brown". Now when i receive a call from this number at the moment of calling phone doesn't match number with directory entry and i still have "FROM: UNAVAILABLE", but in a call history it shows correct name eg. "John Brown - 123-456-7890". Is that normal. How can i fix it?

Again i am very new to VoIP and i would appreciate any help.

Thank you!

Hello Roovio,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The first step for you should be to update the VVX to a currently supported software Version.

I would suggest at least UC Software 5.2.3 or even 5.3.0

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
