I'm attempting to display caller ID names on external phone calls through my Lync system. I have managed to get it working on other vendor's phones by setting a caller ID name field in the Sip Invite:
FROM: "Taco Corp"<sip:+xxxx@sbc-01>;tag=as243708d9
As mentioned, this correctly displays on my CX600 and Snom 760, but doesn't show up on the VVX. Is there a setting I need to configure to enable that to be presented?
Hello shaneshort,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
In addition you may want to look at the voIpProt.SIP.CID.sourcePreference parameter in the admin guide.

----------------Hi Steffen,
I'm currently running 5.2.2.0501 (SIP). I've tried putting that configuration option in the lyncShared and standalone in the phone configuration file, telling it to listen to the "From" field, but alas I haven't been able to get it to work. Do you perhaps have a sample configuration file I could use to test?
Hello shaneshort,
I would have to look at the inbound information which is outside the scope for myself within the community.

----------------Hi Seffen,
I've looked at the SIP data hitting the phone and I'm confident it's 100% correct. As I said previously, phones from other vendors aren't suffering this issue. Can you make a sample configuration available incase I'm doing something incorrectly there?
