Hello,

we have 3 IP7000 phones. All were working perfectly for a long time.

But suddenly, after a reboot (power loss), they are not working any more.

After power on, the Polycom logo is shown for a few seconds and then the screen

is just white and the LEDs turn red. Nothing more happens and no reaction on any key.

It is quite strange, because all three IP7000 showed the same issue within a few days.

It almost looks like some counter/date has expired.

How can we reset the phones and make them work again?

Thank you.

Armin

Hello @ArminS  ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQ’s listed in my signature for your convenience.

A good starting point would be the serial or MAC of the device so we can look up if they are still in warranty as we do not know from your post if they are for example 7 months old or 7 years.

To honestly answer your question you cannot recover those and they need an RMA.  There are multiple other posts that you can find engaging the community search.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Sorry, there is not much I can tell.

Yes, the phones are old. The serials are:

R64167F069102

0004F2EF0B7A

0004F2EF357C

I really cannot believe it is a hardware issue, because all three of them showed

the same error within just a few days.

And I saw other threads here with exactly the same report, but without help.

Hello @ArminS ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community. The post was stuck in the Spam filter and I had to release this. The 6416 serial shows as sold back in 2017. The other 2 cannot be found so I have no idea. The reason there is no update as there is no fix for end-users. The unit would need to be sent in as an RMA. As they are outside of warranty this is not free.

Just to give it a try, is there a way to reset (like reset to factory defaults) in the very early startup phase (while logo is shown, before it gets stuck in white screen)?
