HI

Can some help please?We have a Ip7000 that is coming up with a FTP error but is working correctly. The problem the client does not allow internet connection and we dont know how to get rid of this error does anyone know how we can turn this off on the configuration or can we downgrade the firmware to stop this.

Hello Daryl,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Resolution: Please check here

 

In addition you may want to post the exact wording or post a picture.

Hi

The version of sofware is uc 4.0.1, My question not can be turn off the settings for the provisioning server so that it does not look up the ftp server

Hello Daryl,


This Version is no longer supported so it is up to you but I would update to UC Software 4.0.11 as this contains various fixes and add's security.

 

You can simply disable the server by clearing the Settings > Provisioning Server and also setting it to Static in Settings > Provisioning Server > DHCP Menu > Boot Server

You can simply disable the server by clearing the Settings > Provisioning Server and also setting it to Static in Settings > Provisioning Server > DHCP Menu > Boot Server

 

 

Would this stop the firmware looking or the provioning server and stop the error message displaying
