I am trying to disable the MWI tone on an IP 650 with the latest bootrom and sip version.

I have read previous post about changing the config HERE

The problem is that I do not use that file.

I edit the following:

<mac>-directory.xml
<mac>-features.cfg
<mac>-phone.cfg
<mac>-reg-advanced.cfg
<mac>-reg-basic.cfg
<mac>-sip-basic.cfg
<mac>-sip-interop.cfg
<mac>-site.cfg
<mac>.cfg

And within these files I cannot figure it out.

Please assist.

Thanks,

--Eric

Hello Eric,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: What is the relevance of the 000000000000.cfg or <mac>.cfg?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

or

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Do I always need a Provisioning Server or can I configure a Phone via the Web Interface or via the Phone Gui?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

You can either load the file in my FAQ example via the <mac>.cfg or import it via the Web Interface

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Thanks for the info.

Just to be clear -

1) Save your messageWaitingOFF.cfg example

2) Place it in the same provisioning directory

3) Add it to the CONFIG_FILES="" section as the first file to upload.

Thanks,

Simple enough -

I was thinking it was something more involved.

Thanks for the quick responses!
