IP501 phone and IP301 phone disable volume buttons

I was recently tasked with figuring out how to disable the volume buttons on some of the phones in the office and setting a default volume. I had done a bit of googling and messing around with the config files but am struggling to find any solutions or get anything to work so I decided to come here to ask. the phones I am working on are IP501 and IP301 phones so they are a bit older and most resources related to them have been wiped. If anyone has any idea that would be greatly appreciated.

<up up.ringerup.minimumVolume="0"></up>  this is what ive tried to mess with so far

Re: IP501 phone and IP301 phone disable volume buttons

I was more asking about having a set level of volume not resetting it or having it stay at a level I was wanting to set the volume of the ring on the phones of some employees and have it so they can't adjust it also I can't seem to get the 301 phones to work with the settings that lock their volume button.
