we are having an issue with our polycoms (2 soundstation ip 6000) communicating with our conference call service (intercall).

From the Intercall system, we attempt to add the polycom into the call. The service calls the polycom, you answer, it says "press one to join the call", we press one and the service gives an error (unrecognised input).

We are able to log into a call by callign the service and adding the code so the issue is not just filling in lists.

I have spoken with both Intercall who say that it is an issue our end and our phone provider (Vodafone) who say that they can see nothing wrong with the connection.

I was wondering if anybody else has expierienced this and has a solution or any ideas what else we can try. This does effect both devices so i think it is unlikely to be a device fault

Hello jamiekirkland,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issue experienced may already be addressed in a newer release. This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Can you elaborate a bit more about the working and not working call scenario?

As far as I understand at present if you receive the call from the conferencing server you are unable to use DTMF to identify yourself but if you call the service DTMF works.

There would be no different mechanism in the phone to send different DTMF other than the far end signaling this differently in the call setup.

I suggest you check this FAQ post here:
