Dear Community,

Is it possible to set up a phone number with extension (like 749999000 Ext 6040445)  for line key (Speed dial)?

If yes, how to  delimit the main part 749999000  and extension 6040445. Which sign is gonna be used for that?

Model - VVX310.

Rgds,

Anton

Hello @Antikvar,

The Pause feature is currently not supported on the VVX. Only the Trio can use this.

There is a Feature Request for this and I will update the community when this has been added.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello @Antikvar,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC / Skype for Business server.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

To answer your actual question are you after a Pause for a Speed Dial key aka dial the first number first and then the 2nd afterwards?

UC Software 5.7.0 added:

Enhanced Feature Keys Enhancements:

  • Polycom UC Software 5.7.0 allows you to assign an Enhanced Feature Key as a line key using feature.EFKLineKey.enabled parameter.

After you enable this feature, all the EFK macros that are configured using efk.eklistparameter having efk.efklist.x.status=1, display as a line key.

Before you enable this feature using feature.EFKLineKey.enabled, make sure the value of the parameter feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled is set to 1.

Dear Steffen,

Thanks for the reply. My software version is SIP 5.6.0.17325 meaning it is not possible to utilize advanced features.

Thanks a lot.

Steffen,

That's right - I want  to dial  the first number first and after the pause  the 2nd (extension) afterwards. Creare  a line key to dial this number.

P.S. Cisco used "," to delimit one part from another.

Rgds,

Anton
