I am trying to schedule a reboot of all Polycom phones in my environment as we have stood up a new RPRM Provisioning server in a new DC with a new IP.  We changed DHCP on 3/16 to point to the new server but it appears the phones need a reboot to get the new string as they are not moving over to the new server when they renew their DHCP lease.

Are the commands down below only compatible with certain hardware and/or software versions?  Is there another way to schedule reboots vs. doing manually (either from the phone or RPRM)?

I've applied the below config profiles to the following devices

(3) Trio 8800 - (5.9.5.2982) - all 3 have rebooted, however 1 of them took an extra day

(1) CCX500 - (7.0.3.0515) - This rebooted but took an extra day

(1) VVX411 - (5.8.2.4732) - This device has not rebooted the past 2 nights as I would expect it to.

prov.scheduledReboot.enabled="1"
prov.scheduledReboot.periodDays="1"
prov.scheduledReboot.time="01:00"
prov.scheduledReboot.timeRandomEnd="03:00"

Thanks,

Chad

Hello @quintoca ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

I have seen you also opened a case with our support team.

The same answer is most likely as the VVX does not support these parameters.

You can have a look at the REST API:

Jun 05, 2018 Question: Do Poly Phones support a REST API?

Hi Steffan,

Thanks for the response.  Is there another clever way of scheduling a reboot of the VVX phones?  I know in RPRM you can do so in groups manually but I believe they will all reboot simultaneously.

Thanks,

Chad

Hello @quintoca

have a look at the REST API Post and write yourself a Batch file running a corn job. This is possible for Windows or Linux

Surely there's some provisioning line similar that leads to reboots without involving Batches/rest APIs?

Can you link the pdf with the full list of config/provisioning lines that can be added to Polycom VVX250 models?

Hello @TonguePunchingYourFartbox ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow-up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow-up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience.

As an example, if the SIP switch supports Check-Sync see my answer >here< The list of parameters is answered there too.

You could also look at our free Lens cloud solution where you can reset sites etc. There is also an API please check the Lens section.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
