Hide Incoming Numbers VVX410

Hi there,

We're currently setting up an anonymous listening service and the building that is hosting us requires us to use the Polycom VVX410 phones. As the service is anonymous, we need to find a way to stop the incoming numbers from appearing when someone calls – can anyone give advice on how to do this for this model?

Many thanks,

Patrick

Re: Hide Incoming Numbers VVX410

Hello PatrickNL,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Stating the above I do not believe we can do such thing on the VVX as this would really be something that should be done on the SIP server end and not on the phone.

Re: Hide Incoming Numbers VVX410

Hello Steffen,

Excuse me, the version number is 5.4.0.5841.

How would such a thing be done on the SIP server end?

I'm hoping also to find a way to prevent call logs from being kept, or for them to be erased at the end of each evening.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Kind regards,

Patrick

Re: Hide Incoming Numbers VVX410

Hello Patrick,

We do not know your SIP server so I am unsure how we can advise on this.

Can you not contact whoever Provides your SIP server ?

In regards of disabling the Call List simply use:

<test feature.callList.enabled="0" />
