We need an external speaker for a Polycolm phone. The person who uses this phone needs a louder ring when there are incoming calls.

We want to use it as a loud ringer for this phone, nothing else.

We got an SIP Speaker, and are trying to configure it. But it's proving to be difficult.

I noticed there's an "AUX Port" on the bottom of these phones, but it's an RJ port (not your standard 3.5mm AUX port), so I'm not sure if I can just buy some speakers and a certain cable and get it to wor?

Is there an external speaker you can connect to these phones basically to act as a loud ringer for incoming calls?

Hello @cmit ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

The AUX port is for an expansion module and not for any speaker.

Please ensure you always check the FAQ's and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up posts.

Oct 25, 2011 Question: How can I change my Ringtone or Ring in a special manner for a certain incoming call?

The above describes how you can use a louder special ring tone. There is no other ability to connect an external speaker to the phone.
