I'm trying to get Corporate Directory setup for my phones.  We're using a hosting provider that isn't familiar with LDAP in general - or Corporate Directory in particular.  Since the hosting provider (Nextiva) does the phone provisioning - I'm a little handicapped with my setup.  But if I can get the right information I can pass it to them for configuration.

I've got my local LDAP server setup - I'm using OpenDJ.  It answers queries from clients just fine - including Thunderbird mail clients.  When using the phones to access Corporate Directory, I either receive, "Invalid config" - or, now, "Please try again".

I've enabled logging on my LDAP server - it doesn't look like the phone is attempting to connect.  I'm trying to get LDAP logging enabled on the phones (they're IP550's) - but when I change the log setting in the phone's webserver to "Debug" and submit - it always goes back to "Minor Error".  I'm using Syslog logging - and I do see the phone's logging information.  Just nothing LDAP related.

Hello thumper,

we always encourage Users to tell us their Software Version and their Phone Model(EDIT: Just seen they are 550's) and to utilize the search.

The LDAP Feature, depending what Phone or Software is used, requires a Productivity Suite License.

The FAQ holds an article explaining this => here <=

Using the Search => here <= finds plenty of replies or mention of LDAP

Without knowing above any advise will be hard to provide.

I'll try to find my software version - but I'm afraid you didn't answer my question.  The license has been installed.

How do I enable ldap LOGGING on the phone?  I need to debug the setup.
