Dear Support,

Read different posts to solve the problem we got.

When i import an file in the phone directly everything works great.

Example file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<PHONE_CONFIG>

<bg
bg.color.bm.1.name="http://www.*****.nl/sg-telefoon/Telefoon.png"

/>
</PHONE_CONFIG>

But when i send this via provisioning config server, the config will not been active on the phone.

This is the default config i use

<bg>
<bg.VVX_1500>
<bg.VVX_1500.color bg.VVX_1500.color.selection="3,1">
<bg.VVX_1500.color.bm bg.VVX_1500.color.bm.1.name="" />
</bg.VVX_1500.color>
</bg.VVX_1500>
<bg.hiRes>
<bg.hiRes.color>
<bg.hiRes.color.bm bg.hiRes.color.bm.2.name="">
<bg.hiRes.color.bm.2.em bg.hiRes.color.bm.2.em.name="" />
</bg.hiRes.color.bm>
</bg.hiRes.color>
<bg.hiRes.gray bg.hiRes.gray.selection="3,2">
<bg.hiRes.gray.bm bg.hiRes.gray.bm.2.adj="-2" bg.hiRes.gray.bm.2.name="">
<bg.hiRes.gray.bm.2.em bg.hiRes.gray.bm.2.em.name="" />
</bg.hiRes.gray.bm>
</bg.hiRes.gray>
</bg.hiRes>
<bg.medRes>
<bg.medRes.gray>
<bg.medRes.gray.bm bg.medRes.gray.bm.2.adj="-2" bg.medRes.gray.bm.2.name="" />
</bg.medRes.gray>
</bg.medRes>
</bg>

I only have VVX600 phones in the office.

Hope someone can help me edit this config with the right information, thanks!

Richard Beij

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Feb 2, 2012 Question: How can I change the factory provide screen background JPG's?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above specifies both:

<bg bg.medRes.gray.bm.2.name="NewSailboat256x116.jpg" />

Aka the picture you want. In your example a HTTP link

bg.medRes.gray.selection="3,2"

The above selects the newly added picture.

The FAQ example is from another phone type but you should get the general idea.

Hi SteffenBaierUK,

Again you 🙂 Perfect.

I cannot upload an file to the config server, they say not supported.

So need to use an URL, i think that needs another solution?

Right?

Thanks!
