Config file polling interval for supplementary config files

I've found the "prov.polling.enabled" and other polling config options, but it's not clear to me from the FAQ on how this relates to polling for additional config files that are included from the main phone config.  Are all config files reloaded and/or checked for change or not?

Re: Config file polling interval for supplementary config files

Hello sporkman,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

To answer your actual question the phone will only load the files specified within the config_files section of the 000000000000.cfg or <mac>.cfg.

I have already replied to your other post and also added this information to the post => here <= to make this fact absolutely clear.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

That's quite a wall of text there to ask for the firmware version.  I have multiple - let's go with 5.5.2.8571.

Hello sporkman,

I use Macro's to reply back when posts do not contain the minimum information required to post (as stated in the Read Me First).

In addition my reply did already contain an answer to your question.

Best Regards
