How do I change the polycom soundpoint web management port from port 80 to some other port number for remote administration on multiple SIP phones using a NAT / Port forwarding device?

Hello cgalloway,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As I am not aware of your Software Version so I guess and  I am quoting from  the UCS 3.3.0 Admin Guide page A - 63 => here <=

httpd.cfg.port

Permitted Values => 1-65535

Default 80 => Port is 80 for HTTP servers. Care should be taken when choosing an alternate port.

Best Regards

Hi

I'd like to find more information regarding on how to complete this task of updating the Web Managment port.

We are using Software Version 5.2. I've looked through the configuration files in the VVX 310 but i'm not finding any reference to the Web Management port or httpd.cfg.port

I see the reference in the Admin docuemnt: http://supportdocs.polycom.com/PolycomService/support/global/documents/support/setup_maintenance/pro...

its on page 365

I'm just not finding any documentation on how to find where this file is and a process on how to make the change.

Thank you

Hello pmedenwaldta,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Mar 08, 2013 Question: Where can I download configuration files from or create these myself?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

and

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Do I always need a Provisioning Server or can I configure a Phone via the Web Interface or via the Phone Gui?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

Basically you need to manually create your own configuration file if the available templates do not host the parameter in question.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
