After upgrading the firmware on a IP7000, I cannot get to the correct web page to complete configuring the Polycom.

Normally I would get a web page that request a username and password.

Where username is Polycom and password is 456 (the password had been changed and I tried that password as well)

I now a page the has a toggle between Admin and User and the default passwords no longer work. (see attached).

I have upgraded to 4.04

has anyone seen this page before? Any idea what the password is?

thank you

Mason

those are the username\password combinations I tried, none of them work.

Hello Mason,

The factory default is either a Admin Password = 456 or a User Password = 123

If the above does not work then someone has either changed it on the Phone or the phone is loading a configuration changing the default value from some server that it has been configured with.

You would need to check this yourself and then verify that this was not changed.

The above linked FAQ post also includes the necessary parameters to change this via a provisioning server.

We do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so.

We will remove any post replying to this that will publicly explain how to remove the password in any other method.

As I do not have a provisioning server, I used this link -

Link removed as the link is only for Polycom support users

Could that have changed the password?

thank you

One other thing, the 456 password works on the phone, but not on the webpage.

Hello Mason,

I have removed the link as this is only for customer that deal directly with Polycom support and the infrastructure behind this server is unable to serve a large group of phones.

I am not aware that we would set a changed password via this server and just verified this.

You can only try and login to the phone via the GUI to verify that the password is correct and then setup your own local server and provision the phone again.

Press the Menu key and the navigate to > Settings > Advanced and check that 456 works as the Password there.

In addition you may want to try and use a different browser.

If all of the above fails you will need to work with your Polycom reseller for further support.

So I have to setup a provisioning server?

How do I do this? do I need a dedicated machine?
