Just seeing if there is anything out there that we are missing.  We have a user that is blind so they are not able to ignore calls.  9 times out of 10 he is waiting for an important call so he answers everytime.  Well he has been getting lots of calls from vendors lately and is annoying him.  Is there anyway for the phone to read out who is calling or is there some additional software that could help with this.

I am probably not asking in the right place.   Any ideas?

Hello!

This is just a suggestion, but registering a softphone on the user's computer for getting caller id only might enable a program like jaws to speak out the information.

I also found this in a google search, but it seems to have some strange requirements (it appears to look through all sip packets on a wan in order to work.)

It is a talking caller id.

But it will do exactly what you are looking for... maybe?

Cheers
