Hi,

We are trying to configure CX3000s in our Lync environment and seeing an issue where we are not able to sign in via extension and PIN. We get a "Certification web service cannot be found" error.

In the properites of the device, I see that it is picking up the correct IP address but wrong VLAN ID. We have configured DHCP per Jeff Schertz blog. We also ran dhcputil and it was successful showing the correct options. Any ideas on what else we can try here?

Any assistance would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Hello draylan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful for others or yourselves to post the currently used software as this would enable others or yourselves to check against release notes on the Microsoft page.

As Jeff's article => here <- is quite detailed and easy to follow I would suggest you setup a spanned port on the phone side and take a wireshark trace to verify that the DHCP server actually offers the VLAN in question.

Once this is verified I suggest you work with your Polycom reseller and/or Polycom support or even Microsoft support as they provide the software running on the phone.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hi Steffen, thanks for the response and sorry for the late reply. We have 1 CX3000 which is working properly and 2 that are not. Those 2 have been reset (hold 4 and 6 during reboot as well as hold * and # during reboot). After this, these devices now are showing VLAN ID 0 and not receiving IP addresses. I have attached a screenshot of the system information, hope that helps.

Hello Draylan,

the next step or troubleshooting task was already provided in my initial response:
