Hello,

I bricked a Polycom VVX-250 somehow by entering the advanced options and selecting TLS Certificates. Now, it will power up but freezes on "Welcome! 7 seconds until autoboot."

the 7 seconds does not change or countdown and none of the keys respond to keypress.

Then, it will reboot itself.

Is there any way to recover this? I am hoping a procedure that will allow auto boot from the USB slot? Is there a factory reset hardswitch someplace?

Firmware is 5.9.1.0615

Hello @Unk0wn1 ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

In my nearly 13 years with Poly I have never heard of this and the only multiple key combinations are outlined here:

Jul 05, 2018 Question: Does Poly support Multiple Key Combinations MKC to action a reboot or similar?

ResolutionDetails => here <=

If this still fails try and get this into support.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support. Available End User Poly services offerings are detailed here

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

I am just looking for a way to recover this phone. The Welcome screen does not perform 7 second countdown, and once Welcome screen is displayed, no key press will register. Is there any procedure to reload the or reformat and recover the boot loader without performing a keypress? I am hoping there is a boot and reformat using the onboard USB port.

Hello @Unk0wn1 ,

There is no way for an end customer to recover the unit via USB or similar. This needs to be RMA'ed
