Hello

Since upgrading to the BTOE connector v2.0 an error message appears when the application stats saying "No mic device found, connect external mic and restart Polycom BTOE connector." We are using VVX500s on firmware 5.0.1.

Polycom support say that this error is expected behaviour immediately following installation but it shouldn't appear after the audio devices have been configured. I just wondered if anyone else is experiencing this error each time the application starts and if there was a fix for this?

Many thanks,
Nick Morgan.

This issue wasn't resolved, however there is a workaround in the latest version of the Polycom BToE connector (2.1.0) as it has the ability to disable warning/error notifications by a registry change.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Polycom\Polycom BToE Connector] "Version"="2.1.0" "WRN_MSGBOX_EN"=dword:00000000 "LOG_FLUSH_LIMIT_IN_MB"=dword:00000014 "LOG_LEVEL"=dword:00000001 "NOTIFY_MSG_EN"=dword:00000000 "ERR_MSGBOX_EN"=dword:00000001 "SHOW_EXIT"=dword:00000001 "NOTIFY_ICON_EN"=dword:00000001 "Path"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Polycom\\Polycom BToE Connector\\"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Polycom\Polycom BToE Connector\Dummy] "Startup_Shrtct"="1" "Desktop_Shrtct"="1"

Regards,

Hello all,

firstly the latest BToE version should be used, at present BToE 2.1.0.

Secondly , if an issue or warning message appears you should consult our support team via your Polycom reseller so we can verify if this is a local issue or something we need to address.

In addition posting the currently used Operating system may help as well.

Please be aware of the following when utilizing UCS 4.1.0 or later:

The use of Polycom UC Software versions 4.1.X (“Software”) requires the purchase of a separate Software license for every device that will use the Software in a Lync environment. You may not install, access, or use the Software in a Lync environment on more devices than are listed on your license until additional licenses have been purchased and authorized by Polycom. These licenses should be purchased from the same company from which you purchased the devices. You may operate devices against a Lync server for trial purposes for up to 30 days without purchasing a license. Use of the Software is subject to the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement.

Polycom reserves the right to audit your deployment to verify that you have sufficient licenses to match the number of devices being used.

Information in regards of License Part Numbers can be found => here <=

We're seeing the same error popup post installation of the BToE 2.3.0 client.

Deploying via SCCM 2012 to Windows 7 clients.

Hello bjohns,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

This is most likely caused by the missing certificate which is not installed via the SCCM method.

Please contact your Polycom reseller to open a ticket with Polycom support and ensure your have your proof of per Device LYNC license available.
