BTOE - Manual pair with IP adres

Is it possible to manual pair the BTOE software with an ip adres of the phone.

The PC is not connected directly to the phone.

(Maybe i have to do something in CMD)

I don't think that is possible.  When you install the BToE software the drivers are installed for the Phone which allows Lync to recognize the audio device when the phone is connected to the PC.

Re: BTOE - Manual pair with IP adres

Hello HansVos,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Polycom BToE solution is like the Better together solution where the PC needs to be connected via a USB lead to the Phone.

The PC Port on the phone needs to be utilized for BToE.

Re: BTOE - Manual pair with IP adres

Hello Steffen,

But I see that you are using USBoverIP to connect to the phone.

Is is possible to connect manual with the USBoverIP software ?

We are using a VDI envoirment so the Virtual PC isn't dirrectly attached afther the Phone.

Re: BTOE - Manual pair with IP adres

Hello HansVos,

at present we only support a physical PC connected to the phone.

I am unable to comment on any future roadmap and you would need to work with a Polycom sales Engineer via your Polycom reseller.

Re: BTOE - Manual pair with IP adres

Hi!

One of our prospective clients are working on a VDI environment... In short we are having the same challenges. Using mediaredirect in VDI does not work. Are there any plans for this to happen? Other manufacturers are able to do this...

Hello Miki_PH,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Nothing much has changed and I can therefore only ask you to look at the reply prior to your post.

The next step for you would be to work with a Polycom sales engineer to identify the business opportunity to cover such change.
