We are using Soundpoint IP 650s, software version 3.3.4.0085.
We have configured BLF using the following example configuration:
<call call.directedCallPickupMethod="legacy" call.directedCallPickupString="*8" />
<attendant
attendant.resourceList.1.address="sip:1234@server.example.com" attendant.resourceList.1.label="User 1"
attendant.resourceList.2.address="sip:1235@server.example.com" attendant.resourceList.2.label="User 2"
attendant.resourceList.3.address="sip:1236@server.example.com" attendant.resourceList.3.label="User 3"
attendant.resourceList.4.address="sip:1237@server.example.com" attendant.resourceList.4.label="User 4"
/>
This is used along with call/pickup groups.
The phones have set their attendant ring tone to a ring instead of just flashing. This is done on the phone to allow them to choose their own ringtone without provisioning.
When a call comes in to say line 1234, and 1234 is not on the phone, the subscribed phones flash and ring appropriately. When the line 1234 is on the phone already, and a call comes in to line 1234, the subscribed phones will only flash, with no ringing. Is there any method we might use to modify this so that the phone will ring in this scenario?
We are using an asterisk based server. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Hello awest,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Could you provide more details on this as I am not sure I fully understand the question?
So Phone A monitors Phone B,C,D and E.
If Phone A is idle and Phone B is rung you hear the ringer on Phone A and the line would flash.
If Phone A is busy in a Call and Phone B is rung you would usually hear a second caller sound and the line would flash.
Is above your scenario?
