I've got 15 phones using 4.0 firmware connected to an Asterisk PBX.  The phones are all trying to connect to URLs instead of sitting there being phones.  The short-term fix is to tell the people that are using the phones to slow down - they don't know how.

What settings do I have to double-check to get this behavior to stop?  I've already tried modifying the $MAC.cfg file to include the server address in the "reg.1.address" entry as one person suggested.  Do I need to fill in the "reg.1.outboundProxy.address" as well, or instead?

One poster was sure that it was the registration status of the phones, but Incoming calls are working fine and getting delivered to all of the right phones, so I know they are registered with the server.  I've also double-checked the Asterisk information, and the phones are all showing up as registered.

Hello Cynjut,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Could you be a bit more specific in your explanation?

What happens when you dial and what parameters did you use when you provisioned the Phone?

Usually URL Dialing is used if the line is not registered. The Forum holds Information on how to check this.

To prevent / disable URL dialing use:

feature.urlDialing.enabled="0"

Best Regards
