From the Home screen go to 'System'> 'Diagnostics'> 'Reset System' and enter the system serial number. Select 'Delete System Settings'.  this will reset the password back to the serial number and also delete all system settings returning to factory defaults.

Dear Kendo,

We have already tried this option but it is not accepting the system serIal number. It says incorrect password

You may be typing it incorrectly or not using the entire 14 digits.  the SN should look like this - 820712123A9BAK

The full SN can be found on the system information page

Caps do not matter it will also work with lower case

There is a way to reset a VSX but it's proprietory Polycom & Trusted Partners.  General Knowledge would completely undermine the Security of the VSX.

In the UK our customers pay a small fee & return the unit to us where itcan be reset.

Yes we have tried the 14-digit serial no which is found on the system information page, but it does not accept.

Any other options please ?
