Studio X Series & G7500 Logging TAR Files

Hi All,

Is there any software, documention available to help me breakdown/annalyse (TGZ) TAR log files from our X series and G7500. If we have issues I can send them off to Poly but would like to be able to analyse the data ourselves, even if its just lower level information for example being able to see when connections have be lost.

If anyone has any tips that would be great.

Thanks

Paul

Re: Studio X Series & G7500 Logging TAR Files

Hello @Smoth ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Usually, Log files are only for trained Poly support engineers to look at as an untrained end customer may interpret messages with an issue which is not relevant for the working of the device.

In basic the messages.x files log issues. Debug is obviously the highest level but shortens the logs to a couple of hours. The tombstone folder logs if there is a more serious issue but can only be decoded by Poly support.

Other providers may also add their logs but again can only be analyzed by their engineering support.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
