The gain/signal level on the built-in mics on my HDX 4500 is too low, the result being that people on the far end can't hear me. This is confirmed by the fact that the built-in audio meters can't be pushed beyond 0 dB without yelling. So, how can I increase the gain on those mics?

There are no adjustments for the AGC on the mics. Since this is not a normal condition try performing a factory reset on the system.  If there is a software issue this will resolve the problem.  If not then there may be a bad mic.

Please contact Polycom Support and we will be glad to discuss the issue with you.
