Realpresence Group 500 phantom calls: Is there a solution yet?

Along with many other users it seems, I'm suffering from a large number of spam/phantom calls in to my Polycom group 500 units from an H.323 botnet.

Has there been a solution devised yet? As it stands, I am going to have to apply firewall rules to try and stem the flow of junk calls, at the cost of extra work when connecting to "foregin" systems (as they will need to be configured on to the 4 firewalls covering my 4 systems).

Hello rhyds,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's Video FAQ contains this post here:

Apr 07,2015 Question: How can I prevent Phantom calls to my Video Solution?

Answer: A local Firewall or a Polycom Firewall traversal solution can be utilized to stop this. In order to add this to a possible future Software version in the form of a whitelist please contact Luriep => here <= or Security Center: Security Bulletin Relating to Worldwide Botnet Dialing H.323-Capable Systems
