Hello

we have Realpresence Group 500 in our office that comes with EagleEye III, We would like to buy the EagleEye Director, the EagleEye director do comes with 2 cameras.

My question is; since we have EagleEye III that comes with Realpresence Group 500, can we just buy the EagleEye Director and add to it. i think this way it will come cheaper.

Please, do recommend the product number for just the EagleEye Director without the EagleEye III.

Thanks in advance

Hi here,

You can order EE Director for HDX Series with one EE III - P/N 7200-82631-015 in EMEA price list.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply but the problem is we already have EEIII that comes with the Realpresence group 500, what we just needed is one camera, the EagleEye Director.

How can we get just the EagleEye Director?

EE Director needs two cameras for work, so you'll use (1) camera coming with RPG and (2) camera coming with mentioned EE Director.

Maybe I don't understand the problem correctly but by mind this explains the proposed solution.

As a point of reference the EagleEye Director can be purchased as a standalone product (no cameras), with 1 EagleEye III camera or with 2 EagleEye III cameras.

The EE Director works only with the EagleEye II or III camera and requires 2 cameras. For the HDX that is a Establishing shot (room shot which is set by the administrator) and an 'immersive' shot camera. So when there is a new speaker the system switches to the establishing shot as the immersive shot camera PTZs to frame the speaker. This can be use affectively it a classroom like environment by ‘remoting’ the establishing shot camera in the back of the room and positioning the immersive camera such that it will not see the lecture in the front of the room. Set the establishing shot camera to the ‘podium’, when no one in the classroom is speaking it will use the establishing shot camera, when someone in the classroom speaks and the camera can find the eyes, nose and mouth it will frame the subject and cut to them.

With the RealPresence Group Series you can option ‘direct cut’ which uses both cameras for doing the dynamic speaker locating and will cut from one immersive shot to another without the intermediate step of the establishing shot.

For new Group Series purchases there is a bundle of the RealPresence Group Series 500 and the EagleEye Director and includes 2 of the EagleEye III cameras. One bundle with all you need to equip the room with Polycom technology.

Contact your Polycom reseller for details on the offerings.

Hello

Thanks for your input, Realpresence group 500 has 1 camera, eagleeye director comes with 2 cameras. Making the total cameras 3.

Do we need the three (3) cameras for this or is there a way to make it just two (2)?

If you order the 'bundle' the EE IV is not included so you end up with the GS 500 codec, the GS remote, GS tabletop microphone, the Director base and  2 EE IIIs to be used with the Director and no EE IVs.

If you order the GS and add the EE Director you are correct you will end up with an 'extra' EEIV that would not be useable on the GS 300, 310 or 500.  With the 700 it could be used on the 2nd HDCI input.  This is why we created the bundle.
