Hello,

I am new with RPD 2.1. I've checked all the settings but it's not clear to me how can I "force" RPD to make 720p calls.

Call rate and best quality / best rate settings are quite clear. On the other hand I am quite puzzled with call resolution settings.

Any hint?

Many thanks

Andrea

Hello Andrea,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

According to the RPD release notes 2.1 => here <= RPD is capable to send 720p using a call speed of 1024 kbps - 1920 kbps.

Are you sure your PC's camera supports this format and what is the model of the end point or bridge being called?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello, thanks for the reply.

I have RDP installed on Windows 7 Enterprise running on a i7-3770S based desktop.

The webcam is a Logitech C920. The PS is connected to my ISP through a link with 3 Mbps guaranteed bandwidth.

The endpoint I use to connect is a RMX2000 configured for 720p and 1080p rooms.

That said, the question is: can set RPD to place only 720p call, for instance, although the remote end point supports up to 1080p?

Thanks

Andrea
