Hi,

I face a strange situation reated to the video traffic that get out form the RPG500 the network.

With the help of network tools, I observed that spikes of about 1 Gbps ethernet traffic get out from RPG500 every 15 minutes.

Does anybody have ideeas about his issue?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Hello ibucur,

you should be able to see the actual article 16654 and download the attached PDF file.

 

Additional links may refer to Partners or Internal documents only.

 

The PDF should enable you to set this up. Everything else needs a Polycom reseller and/or Polycom support.

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

A couple of questions:

 

  • What Software Version of the GroupSeries?
  • Is this using RPRM?
  • Is this SIP, H.323 or Skype for Business / LYNC?
  • Are you aware of the method how to capture a direct wireshark on a GroupSeries?
  • What is the destination of this traffic?

Please ensure you answer the above before we make any suggestions.

 

In addition you may want to consider to escalate this with support so please ensure you have logs ready and a valid service contract,

RPG is 5.02

The system is using Resource manager v.8.4

H323 calls

The destination of the traffic is virtual room in RMX1500

I'll be very thankfully is you can suggest how to direct capture treffic with wireshark on RPG.

Our support contract is not yet re-activated, but soon will be.
