Hello

We are using Polycom Group 500 with EagleEye III 12x camera. We are not pleased with the video quality as when comparing with the video quality result of regular laptop built-in camera, the video quality result is lesser. My question is, is there is anyany standard configuration or settings that can be done to achieve crisp & improved quality. Or is it because Group 500 works best only with EagleEye IV?

Regards

SF

hi Supervc123,
Not sure of the exact software version you are running on the GS unit .There are many factors that influence video quality such as room lighting , latency , packet loss , QOS etc. There is a call statistics you can check from the GS itself . Also , there could be differences with respect to the endpoint capabilities for video for point to point calls and for calls to bridges . You can tweak the QOS and network quality settings to see it gives you better results :

Thanks for reply.

Could this be down to the capability of EagleEyeIII?

Nope EagleEye III is compatible with GS 500.

Reason why im asking because the quality issue noticed is on local end self view.

1. Try replacing the cables connected to the camera.
2. Also factory reset the GS unit to remove any custom configurations and reconfigure the device to connect to the camera.
