Poly x50 - Unmute not working in Zoom if participants muted on entry

Hello

I'm running into an unexpected issue with Zoom meetings on a new Poly x50 system.

The system is in Poly mode and Zoom calls are made by connecting to a primary Zoom IP. The system joins fine as a participant to Zoom calls, except for those where the meeting host has enabled the option "Mute participants on entry."  Once in the call, the Poly can not unmute unless the host, in Zoom, first asks it to unmute.

The host has not enabled the "Do no allow participants to unmute themselves".  All other participants on the call can mute/unmute without needing the host to ask.

Firmware and software are up-to-date as of last week.

Hello @JohnComes ,

Stating the latest software does not help others when finding this post in days, weeks, months, or years to come as they do not know what software mentioned was current at the time of writing.

Please therefore always post the exact complete build id.

Has Zoom support been consulted as this is their Platform you are having the call on?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Re: Poly x50 - Unmute not working in Zoom if participants muted on entry

Hi Steffen

Here are the system details as requested:
Poly X50 - Current Version: 3.14.0-372034
Poly TC8 - Current Version: 3.14.0-210851

I've not reached out to Zoom as this appears to be an issue with the Poly.  As stated, other participants on a call - Windows PC, Apple Mac, various mobile devices - can mute and unmute without issue. It appears to only be the Poly x50 that requires the Zoom Host to request it to unmute, and then system users must press # on the TC-8 to confirm/agree.

Re: Poly x50 - Unmute not working in Zoom if participants muted on entry

Hello @JohnComes ,

mentioning native Zoom clients is not the same as a 3rd party dialling into a Zoom meeting.

We still do not know if this is an H.323 or a SIP call

Why not simply use the Zoom application as the provider?
