Hello

we bought poly x50 for a middle size room,  the room isn't  wide

Actually, It works, but the digital zoom 5x is a little bit when we have just on person in the room.

It's ok when we have 3 persons or more int the room.

The 5x zoom can't take the person who is at the end of the table  in full screen,

Distance beetween studio x50 and the end of the table is about 6 meters.

Could you add in next release of the firmware,  the feature to have more than 5x zoom, maybe 7x will be better so far, or 12x please

Thanks

Regards

Hi @CirilC

You reeaaaally don't want that....  🙂 Are you aware, that those devices have digital zoom, not optical one??That 5 times zoom is what you want to see on your screen..

Will the solution be to add a 2nd camera, as eagle eye 12x usb  ?

HP Recommended

Yes, EagleEye IV 12x USB would give you much better video quality when zoomed in, that's for sure. As of firmware version 3.2.0, PolyOS supports using those USB cameras:

  • Poly EagleEye Cube USB camera
  • Poly Studio USB video bar
  • Polycom EagleEye IV USB camera
  • Polycom EagleEye Mini USB camera

You can switch, which camera is currently used. Just remember, that EE IV USB does not have auto-framing feature, so you will have to manually set the correct angle and zoom.

Thank you for these informations, specially for the auto framing about the EE IV USB
