I ran into a situation where HDMI from a Windows laptop to mirror the display on the Poly X would only show video on the screen. Audio would not pass through.

I came across a post from 2021 called Poly x50 HDMI Ingest for Teams 3.4.0-292042 that noted:

The MTRoA does not support Audio via HDMI, unlike the MTRoW. Please work with our Partner Microsoft if you require this feature!

Is this limitation still in place for MTRoA?

My Poly X details:

Teams Admin Agent

Firmware

Company Portal App

OEM Agent App

Is my only option to add a USB cable into the mix and enable Device Mode to allow the laptop to mirror the desktop via HDMI and then use the camera and speakers over USB for the presentation through the Poly X over the display?

Hello @SR_MCSE

welcome back to the Poly community

to my own personal knowledge, this seems this is not yet a feature on MTRoA and only on MTRoW

Our hardware is capable as other modes show.

Please work with our Partner Microsoft on this

Best Regards

Appreciate the reply.

I will give Device Mode a try. Seems that this is now enabled by default in the current releases.
