Hey all,

We just deployed the following in a Microsoft Teams Room setup:

  • Poly G10 pc
  • Poly GC8 tablet
  • Poly Eagle Eye USB IV camera
  • 2 Poly Trio C60 phones

We set the Poly Trio phones in a daisy chain with one as the "hub" and the other as a "device". We then plugged the hub phone via USB into the GC8 tablet. When running a Teams meeting the audio has been inconsistent, i.e. other attendees can't here audio from the room.

Should the phones be change to "Microsoft USB Optimized" and if so will they still work in a daisy chain with Teams?

Hello @MetrolinaGreenhouses ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

I am pretty sure this is not a supported scenario aka daisy chaining the Trio together with the G10.

Maybe not supported, but works, tried this in the past. Both Trios set to "Skype USB optimzed", one as Hub and one as Device and you´re done. 😉

Hi All,

I have been facing the same problem as well. When i set both my device in "Microsoft USB Optimization" mode, the far end user after a while are not able to hear anyone in the room. I have set one C60 to "Hub" and the other as "device" to be able to pair them. The C60 (Hub mode) is connect via USB to Lenovo Hub 500. Both are running on firmware version 5.9.4.6847.

Hello @Vinoth Ganesh ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

As already stated some functionality may be technically possible but depends on our partner Microsoft to officially certify this. Otherwise, you are running into having an unsupported scenario.

In addition, 5.9.4 is not a supported software anymore. UC Software 7.0.0 or 5.9.5 Rev AD is.

Hi,

i also have the similar question about possibility to daisy chain 2x Trio C60 to Poly GC8.
may i know if that works? or does current UC7.0 environment only support 1x Trio phone expansion?

my equipment list is as below.

1x Polycom EagleEye Director II
1x Lenovo ThinkSmart Tiny
1x GC8 Controller

2x Trio C60 Phone.

using MS teams.

Thank you
Alfred

The Trio daisy chaining feature is not part of the Microsoft Teams certification spec and thus is not supported directly by Microsoft, but it is supported by Poly.

It is only available when the Trio is in USB Optimized mode, it cannot be used in the native Teams mode.  It is suggested to open a support ticket with your Poly support channel (not with Microsoft) if you are experiencing issues with this configuration.
