Poly TC8 does not ring the Teams call making it impossible to join the call - PolyOS 4.0.0-376092

Poly TC8 equipment does not ring any incoming call from any Teams user, making it impossible to join a meeting.

Teams App 1449/1.0.96.2023031201 + PolyOS 4.0.0-376092

Hello @Aluizio Deodato ,

Your post ended up in the Spam Filter so it was moved here. 

 

To release this one of us volunteers has to check this as this is an automatic process of the community software used to host this board.

 

From the Video, it seems Studio X is not paired with the same account as the TC8. I would suggest you factory restore both units. Ensure they are both on Poly OS 4.0, pair the TC8 via the StudioX web Interface, select Microsoft as the provider, sign in on Studio X first, then the TC8, and pair them.

 

If this still fails please work with our partner Microsoft as there is nothing for Poly support to do as the app is provided by our Partner Micrsoft.

Hello Steffen Baier, how are you?

Poly X50 and Poly TC8 are with the same Teams account.

Problem occurred after updating PolyOS 4.0.0-376092 and later App Teams 1449/1.0.96.2023031201

After restarting both, it worked again.

Just to confirm, the scenario you showed in your video is when trying to proximity join a meeting? happy to test from our environment to see if we run into the same issue, and if not immediately, keep an eye on report of any such issue...

In this case we do not use approximation.
By clicking on the gather button, the MTRa now generates a conference and shows the ID on the TVs. In this case of the error, the TC8 keeps showing the message "Establishing connection" and does not complete.

Another error is calling the MTRa via Teams through Upn, the call even rings on the X50/G7500 but on the TC8 it does not ring, making it impossible to join the meetings.

considering that our Partner Microsoft provides both the TC8 App and the Studio X app I would suggest you raise a case with the as it is also their Platform aka Teams you are using.

 

If you fail please work with Poly support and potentially share the ticket number.

Restarting only the TC8 works again.
Best done on a call that forces TC8 to reconnect with the call.
