Hello all,

We recently bought a Poly Studio E70.

We have not tried it with G7500 or the MTR for Windows yet.

We connected the camera with usb to a computer and try to make a conference call with Teams.

We concluded that the The audio can't be transmitted via the E70 microphones.

So i am asking if this conclusion is right and the E70 uses its microphones only for framing and speaker tracking.

If not, do E70 microphones transmit sound during a video-conference call?

Thank you in advance for your time and responses.

Best regards,

Hello @giannisd ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

It would be of interest what Software version this is running. And to answer your question I believe it has a 4-element beamforming microphone array

If you have any more questions please check with a Poly reseller.

Hi Steffen,

First of all thank you for your prompt response.

The software version of the E70 unit is 1.0.2.

The 4-element beamforming microphone array means that it can transmit the sound during the call.

Please correct me if i have understood something wrong.

Best regards,

Giannis

Hi @giannisd ...

the internal E70 mics are currently only used for tringulation of the speaker position in the room and can´t be used to transmit audio. This might change in the future. Work with you local SE if you need more information.
