Hello,

I'm receiving a "Couldn't Connect to Workplace join" when trying to set up our X50 with TC8 in Teams Mode.

We have confirmed we are on the latest firmware via the GUI.

Any information would be great!

Hello Everyone,

So it seems that when our Teams Admin set up the device in Teams Devices in the Admin Center they did not set up the device correctly.

I removed the device and started over. After doing so I was able to register the device and we are up and running.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. As they say though if you want something done right do it yourself!

Hi @Bbachik,

Welcome to the Poly community!

I suggest you perform a pinhole factory reset to the device and check again in the Teams provider. You can also try to connect the device to a different network to check if this is a network issue.

Hello @Bbachik ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience.

My colleague @Poly_Rahul already outlined some steps but please ensure you are running our latest 3.12 release and the latest Microsoft Teams APK via the Teams Admin Center 1449/1.0.96.2022051102 or later.

If this still fails I suggest you open a ticket with our Partner Microsoft as the basic pairing between the Studio X and the TC8 clearly works.

What fails is the communication between the Microsoft Teams application running on the TC8 and the Teams Application running on the Studio X fails to communicate.

This can be caused by all sorts of things including a firewall or other network restrictions.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Hi..

Remember that is not really the Poly device that connects to MS Teams. But the MS Teams app, provided by Microsoft. Next is that M365 org's often have different sets of security policies in places.

ex. "We only allow IOS and Windows devices to connect to our data", then your Poly X will fail to connect to MS Teams as it is based on Android OS.

So make sure that allow the MS Teams app provided by Microsoft.

Azure/Endpoint manager logs will be a good place to dig into

Uwe Ansman have a really good guide to use in setting up you M365 tenant for MS Teams room bassed on Android.

https://aitsc.de/blog/endpoint-manager-intune-compliance-conditional-access-fuer-mtr-on-android-mtro...

Microsoft have also collected a lot of information at this link: https://aka.ms/mtrdocs - This for all types of MS Teams room.

Read it through and pick the sections that you need. It is not always need to make all the policies.

Start by allowing wide, and then narrow the scope later.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your responses.

I will take a look at the information links attached in the various comments.

I just wanted to note a few things.

Poly StudioX50 : FW Version : 3.12.0-366027
Poly TC8: FW Version: 3.12.0-210716

I have already reviewed the firewall configuration and nothing is being blocked. This is likely due to the existing firewall policy we have in place for Teams.

I will look into the Teams Device account that we have setup for this device and try to figure out where to add the device in.

It was my understanding that without the device login code (error shown in original post) that the device couldn't be added. So this is likely a failure on my side.

I am seeing a lot of information about Intune, however we are not using Intune.

I will add an update as I complete some more troubleshooting.

Hello @Bbachik

I would suggest you ensure >this< is allowed via the firewall

My colleague @UweA also created >this< blog (you can switch the language top right)

If this all fails please work with our Partner Microsoft as it is their Microsoft Teams application running on the TC8 trying to communicate with the Microsoft Teams application running on the Studio X.

It is using their platform Teams and others and they are the best to help you.

If you find a solution other than the shared two or can confirm please let us know to help others.
