Hello,

we have a number of Group Series 500 devices of ver 4.02. Some of them have issues  to produce content audio in a local room when sharing content over VGA + 3.5 mm audio input. At the same time both far and near ends hear content audio when sending over HDMI, so all cables are OK.

On audio meters page we can see signal from 3.5 mm input and it is heard on far end. Again audio cables are OK.

Any ideas how to get content audio  in local room?

Hello,

So I did a setup with VGA video and 3.5 mm audio and got local audio. The only difference is my system is running 4.1.1. You might have to get a support ticket opened with support on this issue.

Thanks Russel for confirming it should work. Actually as I said we have only some of systems not having local content audio. Other systems with the same version have it.

We are in the process to set a new firmware baseline fro all codecs in all countries, but till then what actions we can take to identify the reason?

Does it matter if we have Soundsrtucture connected to handle HDX ceiling Mics and output to monitors speakers? With HDMI all is working fine..

we have opened a ticket to Polycom thorugh our third party support company but no feedback yet...

Just want to inform that upgrade to 4.1.1.1 did the trick. Now it's working
