Hello everyone,

I have the following components in use:

Trio 8800

Version: 5.9.0.11421

Trio VisualPro Group 310

Versions: 6.2.2.1-600016

EagleEye 4

EagleEye Producer

I use this combination for Zoom. I've also connected the trio to our exchange, so the trio can see when the room is occupied. This occupancy then also activates the camera.
Now, my question is, is it possible to create a button on the Trio that deactivates the camera and returns it to the rest position?

Best Regards

Andreas

Hello @Andreas_RST ,

to my personal knowledge there is no button to turn the camera off. The state of the camera is controlled by the Trio Settings > Power Saving settings.

If you disable the office hours the Trio and the camera should go to sleep.

There are settings so you manually have to turn the camera on every time you make a call but again I am unsure if this collides with anything Zoom provisions.

My suggestion is to work with our Partner Zoom and if this fails work with our support organisation.

Hello @Andreas_RST ,

Welcome back to the Poly community.

Some or a couple of your old post(s) or reply(s) to them => here <= are still open/pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution" or at least provide some form of feedback or answer.

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilise the community more efficiently. Please do not simply mark them without any type of feedback.

For your new issue we have a few comments/questions:

  • You are not using a currently supported version and should be on UC software 5.9.3 Rev AB
  • Is this with Zoom Hybrid mode or in Zoom base profile mode?
  • What do you mean with "create a button on the Trio that deactivates the camera and returns it to the rest position?"
Have you checked the Video options/parameters?

Hi Steffen,

unfortunately I can not switch to the current version. I operate the constellation with Zoom and the API Connector / h323, here the used firmware is unfortunately sent directly from Zoom. If I update the firmware manually, this is always undone. So I am not able to update the firmware or is there a way or setting to prevent sending the firmware from Zoom?

The trio runs here in generic mode, as I said, the setting here is all done by Zoom.

If the Trio would run in the current version, I would be able to control the camera and move it to a position where it looks at the back wall as an example and the users don't feel "watched". But since that seems to be impossible, the question is whether I can make a setting in the Config so that the camera simply goes into sleep mode and can be reactivated if necessary?

Best Regards

Hello @Andreas_RST ,

I suggest you work with Zoom support on this as any recommendation from us may not be available for you due to the firmware/configuration controlled by Zoom.

I would usually use the office hour settings to control the time the system is up.

Hi Steffen,

ok, thanks for the hint 😉 I'm already in contact regarding the firmware, but unfortunately it's very difficult, because every Zoom employee refers you to Zoom Rooms, which is not practical. There is also no possibility to "add" a button directly in the trio's config?
