Hello,

We have a Polycom HDX9001 with two screens, table mic's and Eagle Eye Camera installed in our conference room. Also, we have a PC which is connected to a projector and a Jabra Speak USB speaker/mic on the table (it is also connected to the HDX to show content in Polycom calls). We use Lync for our weekly calls with other offices and currently run it as desktop software on the PC. This means that our Polycom system is just sitting there without being used.

Is there any way I can use Lync (i.e. host meetings, join meetings) also on our Polycom system? Please note that our Lync accounts are not hosted by us. We have our own server infrastructure and Active Directory, but every employee also has a Lync account which is hosted by our parent company in a different domain.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Sebastian

The Lync support for the HDX includes these systems:

HDX 9006

HDX 8000, hardware rev B

HDX 7000, hardware rev C or D

HDX 6000

HDX 4000, hardware rev C

HDX 4500

You can see the hardware rev in the UI under system information or to cross reference your part number of the codec to those listed in the HDX release notes, the Hardware and Software interoperability section.

HDX is qualified with Lync 2010 and qualified with Lync 2013.  The RealPresence Group systems are compatable with Lync 2010 and interoperable with Lync 2013.
