Joining an external meeting with the Poly X50

Hi there, our situation as it stands is that we had an external client invite our colleagues to a Teams meeting. My colleagues wanted to use our Poly X50 in our boardroom to join the meeting.
We tried forwarding the invite to the room which it did nothing. We tried dialing the Meeting ID and it would not give us an option, we also tried joining the external meeting with our laptops and then inviting the room directly within the meeting and nothing happened.
Is there a setting, or license or anything that we need in order for our room to join external Team meeting invites?

Re: Joining an external meeting with the Poly X50

Hello @Prudd16 ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow-up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow-up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience.

There is plenty of post on how to set up a mailbox not to strip external Invites out there as this is not a setting on the Poly Studio but on the Microsoft Teams environment we assume you are using.

The best and quickest way forward is to contact our Support organization as the community is run by volunteers only.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Re: Joining an external meeting with the Poly X50

Dear support,

We are using a Poly X50 Studio with TC8 Pad in our conference room. Lastest firmware is installed and the devices are configured for Microsoft Team mode.
I am not able to find any possibility to join MS Teams meetings using the Meeting ID and Password provided in the invitation email.

Could you please help?

Thanks

Markus

Re: Joining an external meeting with the Poly X50

Hello @Markus F.

based on a quick search >here< it seems this is not yet a feature on MTRoA and only on MTRoW

The above link has instructions on how to do it on MTRoW so once this is added to MTRoA I assume it is the same.

Please work with our Partner Microsoft on this

Best Regards
