Hi,

We have a conference room of 5.5m x 7m (height= 3m). We are planning to have a HDX 7000 720 system in this room and our headoffice from far away location.

My question is "Is there requirement of external mic in HDX7000 720 conference system"

Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

This is difficult to answer because of a couple of things.  The room size has some to do with it, but the more important distance is how far the participants are from the microphone array.

As a 'stock' answer"

The pick-up radius depends on:

  1. How noisy and reverberant the room is.
  2. What is subjectively considered adequate quality ( which varies considerably from person to person ).

These two parameters vary. Six feet is the maximum radius in most conference rooms. However, Upton a 12 foot radius might be be suitable for some rooms and some people.
