Hello. I am using the Polycomm HDX 9006 with a Polycom EagleEyeIII camera (Polycom MPTZ) for a stationary video conference unit. As this unit is self contained, and we are trying to implement it with minimal interaction from our IT dept with users, we would like to lock the camera postions to the presets that are programmed into the remote.
I found plenty of documentation on how to set the presets and use them, but nothing on locking them. Is this possible with the hdx9006 and camera we have?
Hello Daniel,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.
The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .
In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards

----------------Thank you for the information. Here is the software data you requested.
Software version: Release 3.1.5-5568
Model: HDX 9006
Hardware version: B
Camera: NTSC
Microphone version: 1:0.33
Thanks for the information.
HDX is at version 3.1.11 and that is available from the Polycom support web site.
It will not make a difference on the answer, no there is not a way to 'lock' the presets from being changed by a user. This would be a user training issue. You could encourage a user to use presets above the ones you have set as the HDX supports presets 0 thru 99.
